That's a good tip... In the offline world it would be so absurdly self-referential to do the conversational equivalent of linking to oneself. I've had similar traffic storms (most amusingly, for <a href="http://blogs.sun.com/roller/page/superpat?entry=priority_1_documentation_bug_in" rel="nofollow">this</a>). I heard a fellow blogger say that the way to capture traffic was to always try to link to a relevant earlier post if possible. Then you start to see people clicking across articles.
