I'm a university student who just recently discovered the glorious caffeine nap. However, I realized that as I drank more coffee and became less affected by it, my caffeine naps had to take longer in order for me to get the same results. The caffeine wakes me up naturally about 45 minutes after I fall asleep.

So maybe it depends on how immune you are to coffee... Even so, i naturally need more sleep than all my peers to function well. I think it is untrue that more sleep harms a person... it depends on the person. If I don't get 8-9 hours I'm usually tired.

Although I have noticed a difference in drowsiness among times when I am depressed and not depressed. Sleep is affected by that too!
