Its nice to be able to have both or be willing to give up a little pay to be happy about getting up and going to work every day. I had a father who hated to have to go to a certain job he had to work rather than a job he liked. In my case I am having to choose between passion and leaving my spouse home for days at a time as the location is in a remote area of the state, but its my lifes dream to do the work and the pay is rewarding. its crazy.

Frugal living is also a great way to follow your passion. If your food expenses are only $100 a month (it helps if you like peanut butter & jelly sandwiches), it opens up a lot of opportunities for a person to pursue their passion.

Penelope,

You'd be delighted to know that Bill is getting married this month and has a terrific job in IT that he's very happy about - he was just talking last night about his impending performance review. I know all this because I'm now *his* bassist (see link). He hasn't given up on music and still plays a lot around Boston. He has, however, given up on juggling altogether.
